ok well my crank pully started making a sqweeling noise about 4 days ago. it only made the noise at idle and still only does. now i have a vibration from 3-4k rpms. what could it be? is there like sumthin to keep everythign balanced? like on the crank pulley or what? plz help i cant go through another bottom end.

first of all have you checked the belts (air con,fan,etc). this can cause a vibration if one of them is loose

 

check the belt tension

 

do i have to take the valve cover off to see the timing belt? cuz i have a b series motor (b16) so its all one piece correct? let me know thanx. and the alternator belt looks good its not loose or off by any. so it would have to be my timing belt right?
