Im cleaning up my garage getting ready to do my fourth motor swap, and I have three trannys. I know what two of them are but dont know what this one is. The serial number reads S4C 108381 and another number I cant read. If you guys could help me out that would be awsome. Thanks guys

 

s4c stamp?
if it's then it's from a 99-00 civic si

 

Ya i dont know where I even got the tranny all I know is it has s4c on it and the part the bolts to the tranny says lsd, and it has lsd but I dont know if its a type r tranny, or a type r tranny with a diffrent case of what the deal is.

i never seen/heard of a s4c tranny that has a lsd stamp

the s4c is in black ink stamp parallel to where the vin would be right?

 

yeah, hey give it back, i knew i misplaced it somewhere, . , man.. must be nice to find a lsd si tranny. just dump it somewhere, and when you do , pm me with the exact location of where it is. . good luck with the swap

 

sc4 is a b16 tranny

 

if its a si tranny with lsd wouldnt it be a type r tranny, just minus the 5th final drive

 

to my knowlege non itr transmission equipped with lsd is inferior to an itr lsd.

itr has a torsen/helical/gear type lsd
non itr has viscous type lsd

 

you guys are wrong click this link http://www.teirney.net/civic/G...e.htm s4c might came from a b16 eg6 sir II but theres no difference between that and a type r both have lsd and both have same gear ratios.
