SUB BOX
using a fosgate 200.2 punch. the car has a few rattles (its an 88) but the actual sub box is extremely strong (and light).
I have an automatic garage door opener/closer.. i closed the door on the box, the door opened back up (dead man feature) and the box was untouched.
it's got more then enough bass for me.

that's so sweet...how much does it weigh.. I have a bunch of OSB ....hehehe...and lots of fiberglass.....i want a 10"jl...in that box and that'll be enough for me to listen to ROCK 105.3 and all my CDS.....at volume 10 and make people jealous of my intake sucking their car under the hood, and then when they get tough with sound i can blow them into an embankment with sound waves.....

Ok, this is my old setup, 2 kicker s12l7's with a kicker 800.2 amp, a pair of batteries, 1 on each sides of the box, 2 digital caps and a digital distributor block. I built the box to just fit in the rear of the car, it is 10 cubic feet, and it measured 20 x 20 x 30 I believe. When it was turned up, you could hardly breathe. But, as you can guess, it was heavy. And you can tell the car doesn't have the same pickup with it in.

damn, i got a $60 special from Pep-boys, the 2 10" subs mounted in a box already, facing toward the back of the seats. Its powered by a rockford fosgate punch Amp. Its a nice clean bass when i want to listen, and when i want to show off i just turn it up

If you dont mind the weight and losing the entire back hatch area, one of the most proven enclosures in a CRX is (External Dimensions) 29"x29"x14", two chambers, each chamber having 2 4" Aero ports that are 12" long flange end to flange end. This will work with either 12s or 10s.
Here is a pic of my box from 2002 db drag world finals.

Here is a pic of my box from last year in db drag racing.

And here is a pic of my current box for this year.

First one is 2 Resonant Engineering 12" SE's, I was the first competitor to take RE to db drag finals using their woofers. My certified SPL was 153.1 on the old termlab, and I placed 10th that year, which was also my first year at db drag finals.
Second one is 2 Kicker L7 12's and I had a certified score of 149.4db on the new termlab.
Last one is 2 Image Dynamics IDMAX 10s and I have a certified of 147.3db on the new termlab, and a certified 148.1db on the new Audio Control SPL190 mic currently the 5th loudest in the world in IASCA IDBL Stock 1.

This was in my hatch. Didn't fit after relocating battery. I'm going to make a new box and get a better sub. This box is filled with polyester and the driver is mass loaded. Mass loading lowers the resonant frequency of the driver (like kicker solobaric). Polyester makes the box seem bigger than it really is. Mass loading and polyester are ways to bring out the lows. When in the car the port faced forward. Box is 16x16x16=2 cu.ft. I was always fixing my rear view.
