Default Please give input on this setup?

Hello, thanks in advance to everyone who replies helpfully.

I am seriously considering buying this car and would like to know a few of your thoughts, here is the link along with my questions. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1040685

Daily he runs 8 psi (or usually, daily isnt the right word b/c it isnt a daily driver),

I would like to know the max amount of boost you guys would run if you were using this for a weekend/ summer fun car.

I was consiering going to 10 psi, having it retuned for that and running 3" exhaust from the turbo back with no muffler, possibly exiting somewhere before the rear of the car (not sure of the best setup) but I dont have emissions to worry about.

I would like to know your thoughs on the reliability of the setup, and the quality. (assuming all the work was done professionally and right, I am speaking about the parts)

As far as I can see nothing was done "cheaply" and it seems like a nice setup.

Thanks guys....

Here are the things I don't like about it.

The block is bored over 0.030 which if you ask me thats a lot considering its still on the stock sleeves.

The intercooler pipes need to be redone, new pipes, t-bolt clamps, new couplings. Or just new couplings and t-bolts all around.

Exhaust size.

Coil wire needs to be shortened up.

Thats all I could find, you might wanna find out what size injectors he is running..

I believe the injectors are 550 rc's, but I'll have to check. Where did you see the piping, or couplers needed changed? (just want to know what pics I missed).... thanks for looking it over!

See the coupler at the throttle body, that is a harware store plumbing leak coupling.

550cc injectors are about maxed out on that setup so if you ever wanna make more power with it your gona need to replace those..

there are a few things to fix up there and replace (like the clamps) but i think its a tremendous deal. i mean ull have urself a clean teg with a built engine and turbo no matter what. he did bore it quite a bit so personally i wouldnt try to make more power, but dude have u driven a 350whp turbo teg? lol u dont need much more power. anyways go take it for a drive see how it rides. clean interior too.

Thanks guys, if I buy it, I wont be giving 10 k... I'll be getting it considerably cheaper than that. I don't want to make any more power, I think I'll probably go somewhere and get it tuned for like 12 psi and drive it daily like that. Does everyone agree that with that setup 12psi should be reliable? or as reliable as it gets for a built/bosted car?

I don't think it's smart to buy a car that has been modified this much. You better make sure that everything is driveable and that you can afford some repairs. In my experience, when someone turboes a car (no matter how good the setup), there will always be a lot of problems that arise. If I only had my GS-R, I would have been stuck walking or taking the bus numerous times, but at the same time, I love my GS-R and I feel like I have worked out at least half of the "bugs" now. 350 horsepower is a lot for a daily driver, but it is possible. Just be prepared for the problems that may arise.

THanks, it's not a daily driver, and for the price I'm giving, I'm willing to dump another 2 grand in it to fix any problems that may arive (including buying a sleeved block or sleeving this one...)
