Default clutch disc installation 87 civic

When installing the disc I assume the flat side of the disc goes on the flywheel side and the 'fatter' side of the disc (where the springs are) face the pressure plate side.

Is this correct? I hope so because that's how I installed it!

Hope it's right. Anyone know for sure/

Thanks guys,

Tom

Most discs *should* have something stamped on them saying which side goes where. With that said, I *think* that the fat side goes to the pressure plate.

You got it on right. The "fatter" side goes toward the pressure plate. For future reference they are usually marked as tjbizzo pointed out.

fatter side (tranny)

flat side (engine)

sorry for the crude pic above.
