ALL fuses? under dash and hood? are the pos and neg cables even connected to anything after they are connected to the battery? lol thats odd...

edit: clean the pos and neg connections with a steel brush. get it at autozone, or use some sand paper. try doing it to both......and the other end of the neg wire too....that goes from the battery to the body. trying cleaning both sides?

checked both under dash fuse box as well as the one under hood (near the battery).

neg is ground on car.
pos is connected to fuse box under hood then goes out to the starter side.

any more help appreciated. thanks.

Check the main fuse in your fuse box by your battery. Check the positive terminal wire where it enters the fuse box and look closely at the fuse attached to it, if there was a spark hooking the battery up or trying to jump it with the cables reversed, that main fuse would have blown and the car would have no electrical power.

I ran into a problem like this before. Check the wire that go from the battery to the under hood fuse box. Check it for continuity. In my situation, the wire melted or corroded or something, so no power was getting to the car. The car was completely dead(absolutely nothing electrical worked).

props to 00Red_SiR and 96BlackHB

the problem was that the pos wires going in & out were crossed in the fuse box under hood so no electrical power whatsoever. after i checked all fuses & switched
the 2 wires around, the car has power and the engine starts right up.

wow, you guys are helpful.
