I'm getting my an-r h22 header back from jet coating this weekend and was planning on running my car at the track. I plan on getting an exhaust cut out put somewhere behind the header but infront of the cat. I also have an Apex ws exhaust that will go on as soon as the header is in. Thing is I have some room to play around with as where to put the cut out. Should I put the cut out straight up to the header or leave a couple of inches of pipe? Thanks alot.

 

I was debating the samething. But I have turbo and no cat. I just don't know where to put the cutout. I think I'm gonna put it right after the downpipe. and then add a high flow cat.

 

where did you buy the exhaust cut out? how big is it? im looking for a 2.5 inch cut out

 

jegs and summit have manual ones for around 40 bucks. The qtp electronic one are 200 or so. Sold the header and will be putting the cuttout on the turbo downpipe.
