will i loose power going to a skunk 2 IM???
i need to start thinking about getting my y8 to breathe better . im getting an ericks racing 70mm TB and plan on port matching the IM i get . the skunks are a good price but ive herd they are favored for all motor . is it a bad idea to use one for FI?
im tired of modifing things to fit......so i dont want to get an edlebrock.... made good power with it? so i would mos def make more power over a stock IM at least ?
I think that youll be happy with the gains from a Skunk2 IM. But as stated before...id go with a slightly smaller tb.

How much does that manifold cost? I've never seen one like that for a D Series before.

Modifying to fit? I had one of the first one of the Edelbrock and I had to modify where the bolts go. This has since been fixed. Other than that, I did NOTHING. You will do a hell of a lot more modifying with the skunk2 than you will with the Edelbrock. I should know as I had both.
And please, do not by a god damn thing from JG, they are a ripoff company. Proven many times here. IM Geoff about making you one of his new manifolds for the D series. he is planning on it.

I was going to fab one of those manifold ( like the old school JG ) this winter but Im not sure that it would be superior to Edelbrock... so I dunno if it worth it....

The Skunk2, being for all motor apps, obviously wasn't designed to flow 400whp, I would get the JG, or equivalent. Maybe wait for the new Full-race mani to come out, that would be nice.
