3" or 2.5" exhaust

Default 3" or 2.5" exhaust

This is for a drag gen II kit. I plan to boost around 8-9 psi. What would be the ideal size for that kit on a D16y8

I'm always asking this too. I know bigger is better, but to what point? What I mean is: 3" is better than 2.5", but how much better? Enough to make it worth the extra cost and noise?

If I'm not mistaken, 3" will always be the best choice for a turbocharged application. I guess if it were a really small turbo, 2.5" would be about as good, but turbos like to breath with minimal backpressure.

when your in boost, its burning alot of fuel and air...and thats alot of exhaust gases...

is velocity bettter or volume?
