How long do springs take to settle?
I installed h&r race springs on koni yellows 2 weeks ago and i still have 2 fingers worth of wheel gap. whats the deal? how long does it take for these fuggers to look good, like in the pictures you all post up?
<--------- sounds like ubernoob right now.

From what I've seen, they shold settle pretty quick. (as in hours .. MAYBE a day or 2)
How much were they suppose to lower ? What year Teg do you have ?

ive got a 2k ls 2dr.
they are supposed to lower to veery little or no wheel gap, even tucking sometimes.
If it doesnt settle to the way it is supposed to, I am going to have to buy some gc coilovers.

theyre not supposed to drop a specific height, thats why the description of them lists a range of heights they can be (between 1.75"-2.5" drop for the race springs), depending on your setup. i have about the same drop you do on the sport springs (~2"), so you landed almost in the middle of the range given.

personally, i think a two finger-width gap looks good and is very comfortable for daily driving (no scraping), but thats just me. someone will definitely buy them from you in the classifieds, just don't expect to get every last penny you spent on them back. good luck

Agreed
All cars drop diff ... this is why springs have a range. 2 finger I'd be happy with, excessive drops I'm not fond of. To each their own I guess

Maybe not, I might be interested in a few weeks.

They should be close to done settling by now, most springs from Neuspeed/H&R/Eibach are preloaded so they won't drastically settle after you put them on. But you can expect a little change, but probably less than a finger.
Did you make sure that you are using the lowest perch on your Yellows?
I have a set of Intrax springs (just for the front) that should make it low in the front at least, if you are interested let me know.

I dunno what the deal w/ yours is, but here is my car the very next day after installing H&R Sport springs about 2.5 years ago:

Almost no gap, Race has gotta be lower.
*edit*
ahhh you're using Koni shocks? Make sure you installed the front spring perches correctly, like this:
...._____
_/______\_
NOT like this:
__________
..\______/
They can go on easily either way, and if you put them upside down the front will sit noticeably higher than if they are installed the correct way.

Almost no gap, Race has gotta be lower.

You mean the amount of threads visible above the jam nuts? Either one side isn't tightened all the way, or you didn't install all the hardware on one side.
The diagram is a side (edge) view of the spring perch. If you look at the spring perch for the front shocks, the diagram should be clear. They will fit on the shock both right side up and upside down. If it's installed upside down, the car will sit probably 1/2 to 1" higher on that particular corner. But if they are installed upside down, it would be easier for the spring to slip off the perch, so you need to make sure they are installed correctly.
The lower right piece in this pic, it's sitting on the ground right-side up here:

It should be installed on the shock this way (pictured w/ my old H&R Sports):

Where did you put the ratainers for the springs? There are 3 different grooves that they can go in.
Look at the pic, I think it's on the middle groove in the pic.
