Default which would b better......

.......a b18 with a b16 head, or all b16. cause i'm definately goin v tech, but the b18 has more torque. wvhat r ur thoughts?

maybe a lil more than 2g's depends on how much you find those parts for. Try the classifieds, you can usually find some good deals there.

I was reading that in some drag applications, the 16 is prefered, b/c with its diminished torque and how that influences the launch, didn't make any sense to me though...

and drag racing a Honda is like using a XBox for the DVD player anyway...

for reference what type of machining and minor block work are you referring to and would a b16 tranny bolt up to a b18 and would it be better or worse than a b18 tranny??

to answer your second question, the b16 tranny will bolt up to the b18 block. And it would be a lot better than a b18 tranny, actually depends if you don't mind your rpms a little higher on the highway.

rpm (really pleasure mes) doesnt bother me cause i prefer higher rpms so when i touch the gas it goes now not have to wait a bit for my 4 banger to get power but thats me

Poor mans type R is the GSR block with the b16 head.

And to the main question... if this is your first swap, do not try and build and ls vtec, just buy the b16 for now. doing an ls/vtec is too difficult for someone who is asking what to do. Just learn the basics of motor swaps for now.
