aebs install high idle.......
i searched and i am almost positive i have my vacuum lines right....i posted a similar question in the all motor forum but they didtn help so i am hoping you guys will.......i put on the aebs and the idle is at 3000....i let it get to operating temperature and its stuill at 3.....any suggestions????please any info is aprreciated....i need my car running
I just got done and have the exact same problem. The throttle cable is holding the throttle plate open. I'm going to try adjusting the cable for more slack. If that doesn't work I may just get a slightly longer one.
Sounds like you have a leak somewhere around a gasket. Did you use new gaskets or your old ones. Either way did you get all the gasket material off the tb, and head. Thats what the problem sounds like to me.
Welp I just adjusted the throttle cable and found a couple of vac leaks. Idle is now at 1400 or so and I can't seem to get it any lower but it's a lot better than before. I also have BB 64mm TB with Type R TB gasket.
yea i had high idling with a gsr manifold so i changed to the blox intake maniflod. it still idles at 1500. the car is fully retarded and it idles at 1000. i think i got a leak between the manifold and the head gonna try and silicone it
