Default Questions on Quaife

Is the lifetime warrenty on a Quaife LSD transferable? I am looking to buy a new or possible used Quaife and was wondering if the warrenty would still apply to me if I went for the used one. BTW, how much do used Quaife's go for, I have a 00 Si.

Edit: How reliable is the LSD, should I worry about buying a used one despite the warrenty?

thought it was too...? anyway, the Quaife is a torque biasing differential basically like the one in my ITR. Isn't James using either a Quaife or the stock ITR LSD? I'm sure that he'd let you take a spin.... either that or you an try it out in my car when you come up in Jan

BTW, got some goodies coming for my car... looks like I'll be in SM or CSP for '02

Hey,
Yea its a gear driven LSD like the ITR but its a 2 way which works under accel AND braking as the ITR is a 1 way (accel only). The Quaife also has a lifetime (transferrable) warrenty which is also nice to know. Even though the ITR LSD would still kick *** and would be a little cheaper, I might as well do it right. Im looking to have her by the next Sebring event.
But yea, ive felt James ITR tranny and its sick. What kinda goodies? We still good for the 25th?

Also I found the Quaife website which answered my question about the warrenty. It IS transferrable as long as the orignal owner has returned the warrenty card and has kept all documents. Sweet looking unit.. http://www.quaifeamerica.com/

Ok... didn't realize that the Quaife was 2 way. Cool

Getting a header with 2.5" straight pipe and O2 simulator, K&N Filter, and then I need to figure out what to spend the rest of the $$ on... have about $400 to spend on other stuff. Maybe a JDM rear bar, Ice Box, Carbotech P+ pads front and Panther rears... or just use it all and a little more to get a set of Koni Yellow's?

We're still on for the 25th

Could you guys tell me what vendors have good prices on Quaife? How much did you pay for yours? Do they make different models or just one for Integras? I have a GSR. I better check out their website..

Good question. BTW, the GSR and Si LSD are different! Suprisingling enough. I think it may be a clearance issue. Either way, they are both listed $895 so if anyone could recommend a good distributor that would be great.

DC JDM in Stainless... it wasn't much more than the ceramic.

Any opinion on the additional spring perch settings for the Yellows? any cheap places to buy them?

RR's gonna be great!

Yeah, $895 list price is not bad. This means we should be able to get them for around $700-750.. I hope. I wonder how much labor would cost? How many hours labor do you figure?

PS. Xian: I think there are plenty of Koni topics out there.. Lets see if we can get the Quaife questions answered here first.. BTW, I 'd use the Koni perches for the stock height. Compressing your stock ITR springs by almost 1" (all the time) is not a good idea IMO. Your ride will suck. BTW, did they ever come out with adjustable rear Konis for the ITR yet? Ah nevermind, lets use a Koni thread

Christian,
I got my yellows through Diablo a while back. They were on special... $511 shipped!!
BTW, keep the perches in middle, like already said, the ride will suck.

As for the Quaife, I looked on the website and they have a list of honda reps that I will call tommrow.
