Default Faster turbo spool up with NO intercooler

How much faster would a t3/t4 kick in if I were to rotate the turbo so that it points upwards and directly connect a pipe (Thats probably no longer then 3 feet) from that to the throttle body with no intercooler?

I found this somewhere:

For all you guys that think turbos need intercoolers:
First I have both a intercooled car and a non intercooled car. No there are not Hondas but they are identical and I've had them for almost 15 years combined.
Non intercooled with factory 8.0 pistons I can run 10 PSI with up from the factory 7.5 PSI this gives me an HP increase from 142 HP to about 160 HP. The car comes on boost just off idle and stays there to about 5800 RPM redline. I look for Hondas BMW (I hate M3s) and Buick Grand Nationals. Look most Grand
Nationals may go 12 on race day, but with their normal street tires and there intercoolers boiling under their hoods they are all high 14 or low 15 second cars. Stoplight challenge are great. Mustangs and Camaros have an advantage here (rear wheeldrive) so don't try 0-60 with these guys. I do have my 450 HP all motor V8 for to take care of them and maybe now with my non-intercooled Teg.

OK here is my car comparison. Remember they are identical except for the intercooler.

Intercooled with factory 8.0 pistons I can run up to 15 PSI up from 12.5 Shelby PSI this gives me an HP increase from 174 to 205 HP. The car is faster only from 5000 RPM and up. Boost comes in at about 3500 RPM and full boost is at 4200 RPM, which is way higher than the non-intercooled car. 0-60 the non-intercooled car can beat the intercooled car buy a good 5 car lengths. Intercooler only works above 30 MPH... 60 MPH is better. It is a forward facing job with nothing in front of it, very short tubes, which is the best design. Look at a Grand national to see a design that sucks.

The quarter mile is tied and only sprints to over 100 MPH, or in Highway challenges is the car any fun. I did get to race a V8 Shelby Cobra with my intercooled car the Cobra guy had side exhaust and a 5 speed. It was great fun a real Shelby (mine) -vs- a fake but way nicer Shelby. Well to 100 MPH his Cobra was about the same speed as my car. After 100 MPH with my intercooler getting the max cooled air my car was much faster. The race started at about 40 with him in the lead and a good 10 MPH on me. So before you dis non-intercooled cars. There may not put out the max HP, but if you work under these two conditions: street everyday radial tires and 92 octane gas.

The non-intercooled versions are more flexible, have way faster boost curves, have way simpler plumbing, are way cheaper to buy and install. And on race day they like NOS even better.....HEHE

You will find the non-intercooled car way more fun on the street. I have direct experience with a 12 second Accord both before and after intercooling as well as many B18a powered Civics with turbos I like the non-intercooled versions much better. I will say that the new drag II kit with the new simple straight through intercooler is a much better than their original u tubed intercooler design. I can still feel the lag but it is much less. Good job DRAG! I would say that DRAG has reduced the Turbo to TB length by a good third if not more. This is only on the 94 up Integra kit. The 90 to 93 kit still sucks.

Which is exactly why I went water to air intercooled... Shortest piping with intercooler available

I think he said it himself... "They are not hondas".. They have 8:1 compression.. The turbo may spool up faster without an intercooler but detonation will come on easier and u will make less hp in the top end(where u spend most of time racing)... The only time the low end power will benifit you in racing is on the bottem end.. how often do u race on the bottem end? if u ask me 1st gear has enough traction problems already ill do without more low end..

non-intercooled is just fine for a RACE car that shoots down the 1/4 in 7 seconds but on a street car some type of intercooling is needed . Cool, dense air burns a hell of a lot better than air that is cooked by the engine bay. Put the crack pipe down because your buzz is burning off... You are also trying to compare an engine that falls on it's face at 5800rpm to engines that are barely coming alive at 5krpm. You need to remember that quick spooling turbos don't do anything for cars that rev to 8k~10Krpm. Why have a turbo that spools right after idle and dies at 5k~6krpm when most b-series Honda engines don't hit VTEC until atleast 4400rpm and rev past 8krpm with ease. Before dissing intercooled setups you need to research air temperatures a little more!

I said I found that somewhere. I didn't write that.

And also, I have an LS, the fun stops at 6800 RPM. So...no 8-10K

i have a LS turbocharged EG non intercooler, i have a TD04 and i start spooling up around 3,500rpm. full boost around 4,500rpm.
problem you get when you start boosting at lower rpm is traction. your moving at such a slow speed the tires break loose and spin. I am gona get a intercooler for the extra power and it will take longer to spool up and that will hopefully end my problem of wheel spin.
