pretty simple question, then everyone can get back to discussing why b series is better than d series and telling everyone to use search instead of just answering questions like the board was designed for,...but i digress. anyways, hope someone knows.

check if a bearing is going bad in the alternator. and also how long have u had the alternator? and when u start the car does it turn over slowly? good luck i had my alternator go out. it sucked. u can check the bearing by turning it on and popping the hood and listening if u hear a little frictino then its bad.

how do i check the bearing? i've had the alternator on almost a year, but it wasn't new. car turns over fine.....for now

 

all i really need to know is if an HF alt. will work on my SI
