Help...
i need some ideas,
my car starts but then the idle is really rough and it stalls, when it stalls i head this hissing noise from the bottom of the car.. if i start it and try to accelerate, the car seems to choke itself and it stalls right away.
any ideas? any help is appreciated..

i think it is a vaccuum leak but i don't know exactly where it's coming from.. i noticed my intake air bypass valve (the black canister) has a hose disconnected but i don't know where it goes.. i looked up on the helms manual and it says that the hose leads back to itself but i can't find the place for it.. there's one hose that goes to the intake manifold and another that goes to the diaphgram but the third one doesn't lead anywhere .. i'll just keep trying
let's yank the iab can off tomorrow during your lunch break. First we reconnect the hose, then we diagnose the starting problem if that's not it.
unless i'm hanging over... in that case, lets just do a engine swap
