Lake-effect snow is fun! At least it'll be 60 degrees on Thursday.

Nope. Highs in the middle 50s today, around 60 tomorrow. Gets colder for a couple of days after that, though, then warms back up again. Normal for this time of year.

We average less than two inches of snow for the month of November here in Chicago (compared with eleven in Buffalo, as noted here). Aside from the occasional exceptional storm, you can't really expect much snow here before December. I can swap to my winter tires whenever it really gets cold and/or snowy; the last few years, that's been around the second week of December.

Maybe not this time of year, but...

Average number of days per year when the temperature exceeds 90 degrees...

...in Phoenix: 168
...in Chicago: 17 (In 2004, actual number of days was 3.)

Hot weather? No thanks.

Nope, but it was 27 degrees here this morning on my way to work.

Hopefully we have a mild winter..... 56 mile commute to work is bad enough without snow

Don't feel all that bad, We were at Limerock Park yesterday for a NASA HPDE and it started to friggen snow. No accumulation but sure as **** it was snowin while we were trackin.

Old man winter came a little early this year and from what I see on the weather maps, he came down through your area all the way to us yesterday.

There is a slight chance of rain today and tomorrow here in Cali.
