I happen to be visiting inlaws in the same area as ED (sackdz) lives so I offer to drop off the race tires that he purchased from me. After a phone conversation I agree to meet him at the "You Store" facility where he is storing his car. I find Eds Type R on Jack stands, with the trans almost out.
Now to most of you in the warm parts of the country that is no big deal. However, we are in Michigan, there is at least 6-12" of snow on the ground, Its is about 15 degrees outside with the windchill, Ed is working by himself inside of what amounts to a aluminum box built on a concrete slap with NO HEAT.... And to Top it off he has never pulled a trans before. Thats dedication to a car
I was impressed. I'll actually feel bad the next time I work on my car on the hoist, in a heated garage.
