I bought a turbo kit a while back and it came with a GSR oil pan that is already tapped. I'm going to be building a cheap little b16 turbo beater and i am wondering if the oil pans are the same so i can just swap them out? please help me out. thanks in advance

 

they are not the same... but the gsr one should work on a b16 block. the b16 pan will not work on a gsr block though.

 

thats all i need to know. but can you explain why it will work? does it have to do with the size of the oil pick up? thanks

 

the gsr has a block girdle on it, so the pickup/pan/tray are different.
ls/b16/b17 are the same tough

 

so the tray will not work?
