Default 92 Prelude...Taking off Stock Bottom Air Box to your Stock intake.?

Would this help for more air? I've seen it done before, but not sure if it works. If you don't understand this, it's the stock intake bottom air box behind your right bumper lense.

go for it...i did it. There is a little butterfly valve in there that opens up when you open your throtle, it is connected with a vac line.

cut it, bend it, and tape it closed, i would especially take it off if you have after market intake, if you dont, get one for 30 bucks, and buy a new filter for it.

and you will be set.

just get an ebay intake and a good filter, its mostly the stock paper filter that prevents airflow, the box is mainly to muffle the sound so ur basically just making the car louder w/ very minimal gains

you should take the air box and put a aftermarket cone filter inside the air box....nobody would ever be able to tell

the resognator does only cut down sound, but it is also warming up the slightly faster. the air needs to travel farther to get to the TB.
