Default stuck lca bolt

after some searching i guess that the lca bolt being stuck is a pretty common thing. i was wondering if anyone has any methods thats worked for em or should i just plan on cutting things out and buying new bolts and bushings. im riding lowered in the front and stock units in the rear right now so im trying to get this solved asap. thanks.

You should be able to easily get it out with an impact wrench unless it's already stripped. If you don't have one on hand, try a breaker bar and some PB Blaster.

Impact gun
Breaker bar
Liquid wrench (or any penetrating liquid)
Torch

Use one or all of those and it should work. Worse case, just break it, drill it out, and replace it.

I had to cut the damn bolt off on both sides and get a new bushing pushed in.

I found that hitting my LCA bolts with some pb blaster and hammering the socket onto the bolt then impacting it off was the best way, and did the least damage to the bolt itself. I hope that helps you.

thanks for the replies. i may just stop by a shop and have em try to impact it out, or if that fails get the dam thing out there somehow and replace the bushing and bolt. i just dont wanna waste another day attempting to get it off and end up having to ride on the stock units again for another week.

Still gonna have a hard time getting the control arm off to install the new one. In fact that outboard bolt will probably be seized as well. Click the link;

It's a well know problem with the shock bushing on integras and civics, shops and dealers just replace the bushing. Using the Energy suspension kit avoids haveing to press the new bushing back into place which makes it much easier.

I sprayed my lcas down with PB blaster for a good solid week before loosening the bolt for the first time.
