Did a search already but can't find a definitive answer.
So I can get a B16A tranny (s21 or y21, will know when I pick it up) from a 99 Si for cheap, 3rd gear grind. I would like to mate this up to an ITR LSD which are readily available and make my Poormans ITR tranny.
Research says this is not a plug & play deal.
Some say that you need the ITR or GSR ring gear, some say that it can't be done.
Looking at the Quaife site it list different part numbers for the LSD for the B16 tranny and the ITR tranny, I wonder why?
Any help would be appreciated. I plan on taking this up for my winter project.

You will need the GSR/ITR ring gear, as the Si ring gear won't fit onto the ITR differential.
As far as I know, the countershaft part #s are the same for the ITR and the Si, so swapping the diff and ring gear in should be all you need to do (aside from replacing any worn/broken parts).

It's the ring gear difference, as well as carrier size.
