I've been doing a lot of research on Uberdata and have talked to some people on H-T and so I think im ready to make the plunge soon. What should I expect to pay for a burner...chips...and getting my ECU chipped. (I dont trust myself with a soldering gun inside my ECU...LOL). Thanks for all your help guys!

Enhanced Willem is what i use

 

A burner is like 60-80 bucks (look at the link someone else posted), the chips are about 5-7 a piece, and I'll chip the ecu for $40 if you send it to me.

When u get your ECU chipped...do you have to make a connector or a wideband O2 sensor and a connector for a laptop...I dont really get that part of it.

There was a gret post on another forum on how to burn a chip on the Enhanced Willem. But i cant remember the forum address. Can someone post the link to school him?

 

If you are running a wideband o2 sensor you have 3 options: 1. you can get a wideband that has a narrowband output as well as a wideband output and cut the wire to d14 on the ecu and hook up the narrowband wire to that, if you do it this way you can dirrectly replace your stock o2 sensor with the wideband and not have to create a second bung. If you do this you will have to dissable the o2 heater in uberdata, and your car will be able to alter how much fuel it burns in closed loop out of boost to maintain 14.7 AFR which gives you the best efficiency.
Option 2 is what i am doing and it also alows you to only use 1 sensor but because i am not feeding the ecu a narrowband signal i have to tune the nonboost portion of the maps to what i want my car to run at..i like this becasue i like to control my fuel delivery at all times instead of the ecu doing it because you can squeeze a little more juice out of the non boost rpm range, if you run like this you will have to dissable o2 heater, and dissable closed loop since you will not be feeding the ecu a narrowband signal.
3. You can have a 2nd bung welded in to the exhaust after the turbo (downpipe is good) and run your stock o2 for your ecu to sustain 14.7AFR and run your wideband to get a read out and datalog with. If you do it this way you will NOT need to dissable the heater or the closed loop in uberdata.
If any of this is confusing just ask questions i will be glad to help anyone being brave and trying the uberdata route because it is so easy and works so well...and its free.
