ok so i was driving in my 98 prelude and all of a sudden the rpm starts to drop and the engine bogs while im just regular driving at 60mph, it doesnt die but bogs for a few seconds and then recovers, it did it like 4 times. i havent drove it since, since im afraid i might get stranded somewhere.

what do you think it could be ?

 

no CELs? Did you cheap out on gas or have you checked your plugs? Might also be your fuel pump.

 

seems like u have way too much gas for those couple seconds. u should be getting CEL's left and right. i think o2 sensor.

 

also something i forgot to add was that when the car started to bog the gauges lights started to flicker.

alternator. take it to pep boys and they will check it for free.
