question about my completed DOHC ZC swap
I just swaped in an OBD1 DOHC ZC into my 93 hatch. I'm using a chipped p28 ecu w/ VAFC attached.
I'm also using my DX header.
My question is, power seems to drop from 3krpm - 4.5krpm so it feels really strong from 2k - 3k but takes forever to get to 4.5k then it picks up a lot... I lower the Air correction into the negatives on my VAFC and it seems to run a little better but still lags from 3k - 4.5k.. anyone know what's wrong?

LOL thanks for the laugh, incase you were serious, this is a non-vtec DOHC ZC engine so i set the vtec to the highest rpm so it won't (try to) engage.
is distributor timing supposed to be off 19 degrees BTDC?
what if i've advanced the distributor a lot but it's still just straight on. Should I check timing with cams and crank?

well it came with a distributor and all the plugs were OBD1 so i guess it's for real.... when i rotate distro all the way towards firewall, it seems like the intake cam is off by one tooth, i'll check it again tomorrow, thanks for all your help.

by "dx header", do you mean the HF and STD style with the cat upfront?
if so, its horribly restrictive and reversion is going to be giving you headaches, funky bogs, crummy mileage, stutteriness. does the car feel like it decelerates rapidly when you let off the gas?
atleast get a stock d15b2 or a6 manifold if you are currently running the turd.

Sorry for the mis-information. the dx header is from my 93 dx hatch the 4-1 one. I'm working on getting an after market header 4-2-1 design then gut out my cat or get a hi-flow cat. I already have 2.5" piping to the axel back.
I was told that the people in this form would know more about ZCs so this is why I posted in here instead of in the EG+ forums.
If my intake cam was off by one tooth, would it cause this sort of behavor?
1-3k power, 3k-5k no power, 5k - 7k power
