Do You Want More Active Moderation In Here ?
Do you guys want more active moderation in here?
For a long time, the ITR Forum has been barely moderated at all, and it has worked.
Now, however, it seems to me that there are more and more borderline threads that have little if anything to do with ITR. (E.g., people asking about how ITR parts work on their Integras, that kind of thing.)
Do you want it to continue as is, or do you want more active moderation?
It's possible my vision is skewed, so I'm asking.

If my memory serves correctly, the reaction to the increased moderation has never been good.
Stuff that would have previously gone on for pages starts getting locked, under the aegis of weeding out the silliness. If it ain't very, very broke, don't fix it.

Yes, please moderate the noobs who post redundant questions and stuff we've covered 10,000,001 times.
The harmless funny stuff should be ignored I say. Historical precedent.

I've only been around since February so by no means am I a veteran but I have noticed some ridiculous threads. I suppose it would be a fine line to determine what's non-ITR related, ie: B18C5 in a Civic chassis or any other hybrid for that matter.
But people posting stuff like, "how do I turn my GSR into a Type R?" or "who wants to race me?" or "supercharger or turbo?" is just stupid. A lot of it can be weened out by telling the thread starters to just search.
All in all I would like to see more relevant ITR info posted and moderators to lock the dumb **** out but there is always gonna be some newbie signing on asking a general or stupid question.
I remember my first post and 'whew' it was a doosey. Just my $0.02

Exactly, moderators tend to play the role of e-god
Let the forum be, although some SLIGHT moderation of redundant threads may be helpful.

I remember back when Reid started a similar thread saying he needed to be a moderator for such reasons. He disappeared...
I dont care, I lurk mostly now-a-days anyway, even with the addition of yet another R.

We don't need no moderation...
We don't need no moderation...
I think we might need a little more friendly moderation, there are those random threads that pop up that are just plain stupid every now and then.
Could I nominate myself? No? Shucks.
Could I nominate myself? No? Shucks.
I think that a little more moderation would do some good in here. Mostly, like what everybody else said, the questions that keep getting posted over and over need to be locked or whatever. For instance, the "how many ITR's were produced" questions and the "when is the next ITR coming".
I wish there was a way to make it where you would have to Spell Check your post before it showed up in the thread.

If it is a legit. question about an Type R part (I mean specifics, not the will it work ****) then let it be. It if it a swap (brakes, engine, stickers, etc) question, move it to Hybrid or the appropriate forum.

Kendall needs to know which header to get for his D series. Move it to EG/EK.
Aquafina, who is thinking he might be recalling remembering seeing a thread about kendall selling his hotness.
