R seat is acting up....
My R's driver seat seems a bit loose at the waist hinge. It's making all sorts of squeaking/creaking noises and has more play than it should. Any reccomendations on what bolts to tighten or springs to lube before I do something drastic?

Really? My 00' R is the one giving me seat problems. What did you tighten to fix the problem?

A common problem I gather.... over time the plastic bits of the backrest hinge wear. If you replace them the problem will disappear. I have found a source for a service kit to correct the problem. I have put a link below to the parts they offer for the ITR RECARO seats and the service kit you require.

I was referring to regular USDM OEM ITR seats, unless that was what the top link was for. Sorry for the confusion but thanks for the help!

My '01 has the same problem. Took it to Acura and I thought they fixed it but it still squeaks, just not as bad. They said they had to replace the seat cushion.
I fixed my USDM seat squeak by lubing up the bolt that attaches the seatbelt clip thingy to the seat rail (the piece that your seatbelt clips into). It was squeaking like a **** until I did that (used white lithium grease in a spray can)... Havn't had a problem since.
I had the same problem, and fixed it the same way, Philly. I get some other squeaking that seems to be coming from inside the seat, or from loose mounting bolts or something. I checked and tightened them all though, so I don't know what's up.
Be aware that the inside seatback vertical at the hinge is pretty weak. I had one snap in a slalom at an autocross (yea, I'm a big fat guy; you gotta problem?? :-).
It's just a stamped steel piece. It is strong in a forward to back plane but not side to side. Over time flexing from side to side produced enough stress to finally give way. A few minutes with a welder fixed it.
The nice thing about the ITR seat upolstery is that you can unzip it, move the padding aside and look right at this hinge. You probably want to take the seat out of the car to get to it easily (4 bolts, 2 minutes)

alan
