I came around this corner with my 5th gear engaged. I tried to down shift to the other gears and it just stayed in 5th. I pulled pulled and pulled on it ...no luck. What kind of things should I be looking for in this situation?

 

How's your clutch fluid i.e. brake fluid?

My friends old *** accord used to do this and we just added some brake fluid and it cured it within minutes.

 

well..if it's in 5th gear...you should be pushing on it...not pulling

 

mine did that when i had my old clutch in it (160K oem) but never happened again after i changed my clutch.

and umm yeah its pulled since he wanted to go from 5th - 4th.

 

you're right...I had a bit of a brain fart.

Now for a more useful suggestion from me, check your transmission fluid as well. Make sure there aren't any metal bits in there when you drain it.

 

try pushing in the clutch. jk yeah what they said^^^

 

bump.......no metal came out of with the transmission fluid.

 

I had plenty of tranny fluid. I have a act xtreme clutch w/ 6 puck unsprung
