I know a guy that is selling a Zex Comp Cam stage 2 for the D16Y8. I have a 10.5:1 c/r Y8 with port and polished head, adj cam gear, intake, header back 2 1/2" exhaust, and soon to be a DC header. Anyone have experience with this cam? Would this be good for my setup. I have a turbo kit going on down the road so take that into mind too.

 

N/A cams usually don't like boost...
It's possible...but you're opening up a can of worms...boosting with an N/A cam.

 

Just a couple questions. Why do you have this high compression build motor when you want a turbo? Why are you getting a header you won't be able to use with a turbo? Stock cam is usually best for turbos, otherwise the large duration just blows everything out the exhaust.

 

Well I have a T28 turbo so I decided to go higher compression and mild boost. Thats why I only went with 10.5:1. Second I am buying a header for awhile since it will be awhile for the turbo goes on. Then I will put the header on my crx/del sol. (which ever one I buy for my daily driver)

 

i have the cam it will work great for both n/a and turbo applications...pulls strong
