cam for turbo d15b-t
ive got a d15b vtec and want to turbo it. if i were to use a crower or exospeed or zex cam, will it work when i do turbo it, or is there a cam that i have to use specifically when under boost. i want to use a crower stage 2, ive seen dyno sheets of 26hp with a milled head and cam gear. but i dont want to have to change it when going turbo. recomendations?????

i would say your best bet is to have your stock cam re-grinded. Since the d15b uses the vx block the 1.6 cams throw your timing off ( i think i remember reading 16 degrees?) Either that or leave it stock and just get a cam gear. The d15b cam is already pretty nasty for a stock cam, its basically the same as the zex 59300 cam.

i noticed that crower has the same part # for the "stage 2" cam as the zex cam, 59300. is this the same cam. anyone else on the cam issue

Well I once was in your dilema,
I looked at the Honda spec about the JDM d15B cam, it's so close to the Zex59300, that I decided to keep my stock D15B cam.
I was always looking toward the Crower turbo cam's though...
Hope this Help

Or better yet, get some head work.

d15b CR is 9.3-1 from the factory, the head is exactly the same as a d16z6 head so it will gain considerable HP from a decent port and polish, especially if your turbo! just make sure you go with a larger throttle body and intake manifold to utilize the flow of the head, id suggest going the cheap route with h22 tb (it bolts up, just use the h22 tb gasket) and have the manifold portmatched to the h22 tb, also have the manifold runners ported as well. You could also just get a skunk2 or edelbrock manifold and an aftermarket TB.

Yeah, it will throw the timing off 9.8 degrees if you use thr d15b cam in a 1.6 block.
