Default high compression lude motor

I am looking to build my lude motor with 13:1 comp. with a built bottom end and a modified head with Crower cams and all of the other goodies. I am looking to put this car on the street every now and then but it will not be dailydriven. Can I run 13:1 comp. with just MSd 6al ignition, tuned V-afc, and High octane fuel? tahnks for the help

You won't be able to run that compression on the street. Especially not with a V-AFC. With a Hondata, you should be okay as you can alter timing.

If I remember correctly JG Luder had that exact compression of 13:1...i believe he ran race gas on the street or a mix of high octane premium and race gas...

If you run your engine with high octane fuel then u can drive it on the street. With the High octane you will be able to avoid detonation. If you are interested in Hondata I am a dealer for them. With Hondata it will make it alittle easier on your engine becuase of the timing control.

I disagree with girlRacer. My bro-N-law runs a 13:1 daily on 93 octane and uses a V-AFC. He has a Hybrid Civic, but that doesn't matter. Oh, he runs 12's too. He is going to be looking into a Hondata reprogram soon, but I would check with JG. I am not sure where all his problems came from, but I do know it is possible to have a high comp daily driver as long as everything is put together correctly and somewhat tuned.

On a side note, if you are looking to do this soon. I have 5 buyers for a Golden Eagle Sleeve Groupbuy, and I am looking for a sixth. If you are interested, check my profile and shoot me an email. I can promise you this is a deal you can't beat, and I am not trying to make anything off of it either. Unlike other people I have run into recently for a Golden Eagle Groupbuy.
