I'm assuming sway bar.
you've got to drop(lower) your cross member. And to drop you cross member, you've got to disconnect your steering column. So there would be a chance that you're steering wheel isn't straight anymore. It won't mess up your alignment, you would just have to remove and realign you steering wheel.

if it is the sway bar what you just listed does not have to be done. I hope you are joking. It will take about 20 mins if you have a lift. Doing it on the floor alone about 35-40 mins. It's not that hard at all, pretty much you would have to unbolt the exhaust piping. Then you would have to drop the shift linkage. The rest is pretty much unbolt whatever is needed to take off the bar.

You don't have to mess with the steering column.
It takes about twice as long as changing the rear sway bar. Easy.

I assure you that step does not need to be done.
at the most you have to drop the cat down out of the way to twist the bar out.
