Default automatic transmission not shifting properly

Hey guys, I have a 95 honda accord ex 4 cylinder with an automatic tranmission and about 145k miles. This past weekend, the transmission started to act funny. It will not downshift at the right times (eg the engine revs up to about 5000 rpms before shifting) and it will not downshift when I press the pedal to the floor. Reading over the posts, I get the idea that this is a problem with the computer, but I don't know whether that is correct or what to go about doing. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

do you know when the a/t fluid was last changed. I would start there first because if it is very dirty this will not help.
