is there any way to pass smog with a b16a1?

yeah if you get someone to tune it right or you do it yourself, or you could pay alot of money to have a fake one done but you have to know the right people so pretty much you're screwed

i believe you need to make it Del Sol specs, down to everything.

u dont need obd1,i take it u live in california like the rest of us.i would use a ecu from a dohc delsol,and make sure all sensors "egr'evc,etc. working,i would basically take the advice of what was stated above,make every this del sol spec.i need to do this 2 but i havent gotten around to it yet.

Make it the same as a us spec del sol engine.

If you change to obd1, I would leave it, there is more tuneability with it.

"del sol spec" is obd-1.

you will need a 4 wire heated o2 sensor, p30 ecu and an obd0-1 adapter harness as well as obd-1 distributor. obd-1 is superior, so once you do it, keep it.

Pay the guy extra money he will make sure it passes . That what I had to do, I payed $200 he passed it without a problem

2. if you get a hood inspection, you have to go to the ref anyway
