Do i need Valve springs if a upgrade to a jun stage 2 cam
Of course everything i do when it comes to my car i like to do it right...W/this in mind I just recently purchased a jun 2 intake cam and i wanting to know if i dont touch the stock redline and leave it @ 8500 are valve springs and retainers still needed or recomended w/this cam setup?
When Mike K had his JUN2 intake cam, he had stock ITR springs.
Only thing is, you can hear your lost motion assemblies going crazy at idle because the lift/duration of the VTEC lobe on the JUN2 cam. But as far as valve float, you're fine with stock springs. You don't even need to rev to 8500. They make peak power at like 7700-7800..
