steering wheel position
i always drove with my steering wheel up at the highest tilt position just so i would have more leg room between the bottom of the wheel and my legs. this weekend i lowered it to the bottom tilt position and found that i liked this position a lot better even though it is a little close to my legs. i feel like my arms are a lot less stretched when holding the top of the wheel. Where do you guys have your steering wheels adjusted at? i am just curious.
I have it low. Feels more comfortable and allows me to grip the wheel with my thigh when I need to break my hands loose for a second.

I can't seem to get comfortable the way you guys describe your steering wheel position.
I have mine adjusted all the way up, but I might also sit closer to the steering wheel than you guys.
After a few track days, this seems to be the position that promotes the best control of the car, for me.
I'm 6'3", about 220#.

w/ the stock seats, mine was all the way up also. Now that I"m about 4" lower than stock, I have to put the wheel all the way down.
yoshi - who went from the highest to the lowest

Agreed George,
I used to drive with it adjusted about halfway down to what I felt was easier. I still do when not driving aggressively.
But, after driving at a few Auto-X's and taking some good advice from Vetrens. I drive with it all the way up for better control, it also spins faster becuase my hands and arms clear my legs better. I feel that you get faster reactions when you have more leverage on the wheel.
I also sit alot closer to it when driving on the course. I am 5'10" 220.
Closer to the wheel with it at it's top setting and strapped in tightly is the way to go for me.

I set it the same, where I can see the tach and speedo. The ITR has crappy seating position for me. If only I had a 16 way adjustable seat and a telescopic steering wheel... oh well one can dream.
The S2000 feels much better.
No seriously I think the steering wheel is too damn big!

I had mine at the lowest position, but my knuckles would brush my legs, it was a pain to get in and out of the car, and I couldn't see the top of the guages. Now I have it somewhere in the middle.
