keyless entry, remote door openers(trunk an hood included), ignition or fuel cut off, pager system, remote start, blinking alarm light, im pretty sure thats it...so if u could list some good alarm systems, itd be appreciated.

I'd check out the Clifford Avantguard 4. It has many many feautres, self powered siern, wireless fuel pump cut, remote start, tilt/motion sensor, remote start, many others.
Also I'm looking for some good pain generators that will work with a Clifford Solaris, any recommendations Tekken?

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, thanks alot for all the info, its much appreciated. so if im drifting your catch, its not so much the brand of alarm, but the installation? ive read previous threads to where u have not really liked the aladding system, is that just a personal thing, or is there some reason behind it? im just curious, because im not overflowing with money, but i would like to get a decent alarm system set up, but i dont really have the funds for a 1000 dollar alarm system, any ideas?

okok, i think i get it now. i can get an alarm that doesnt have everything i want, but i can upgrade it to be what i want? if this is correct, what should i look into about getting the alarm to be able to match the upgrades i want to do? do i have to make sure the company that makes the alarm makes these upgrade or what? thanks alot for all the help, im sure your getting tired of answering all these questions.
Teken I have a few questions for you.. You seem to be on point.... I had a Prestige alarm system installed in my car it's supposed to be the top of the line model in there line.
Anyway the installation seemed to be ok at first but then I began to doubt it when every time it rained the alarm would go off, I took it back to the place and one of the other guys that works there not the guy who initially installed it corrected the problem which turned out to be a hood pin that was getting wet whenever it rained, so he fixed that and its been good ever since.
It seems to me like he did a soso job when the install was done I mean he has covered all the areas you mentioned such as the doors, hood and trunk, however no my problem is that whenever the alarm goes off I cannot get it to stop, for instance the battery in my remote was dying and I couldn't use it to get into my car once so i decided to just open the car therefore that triggered the alarm. Well I went and put my key in the ignition and hit the valet switch and the alarm would not cut off.. Well to make a long story short I was there for about 15 mins i had to wait till the alarm reset itself finally i was able to turn on the car..
Well I called the guy who installed it who by the way since has closed his shop and he indicated that this alarm was the type where if it went off I had to turn my key several times then hit the valet switch and it should turn off, so i tried that but to no avail it still doesn't work, i'm wondering how in the hell I can get this damn alarm to disarm without using the remote. Have you ever heard of this problem before? By the way my alarm has a lifetime warranty according to what they said. Any help I would greatly appreciate thx alot...

I have a few things for you also Teken:
I went ahead and got the Clifford Solaris. hopefully your fimilar with this one.
I got it installed at Cartoys, $279 for the alarm $200 for the install. Which included hood/trunk pin, key less entry (which I though was standard on any alarm). They wouldn't do remote start for liability reasons. So I had another clifford dealer a few cities away do the remote start for $120
.
Money is low right now!! I plan on doing this soon: Hood locks, Clifford Smart Siren 4(self powered), Clifford Motion/Tilt sensor. I would like to do Peizos in the trunk and cabin this summer when I get my audio system, but I'm clueless about how to install those. Also I was thinking about getting the Clifford Wireless Immobolizer to cut my fuel pump, would this work correctly with remote start?
I have a few questions about the install. Brain is well hidden, you have to unscrew two peices of dash, but that only takes 1 minute max. Under the hood: the installer wired the fuses for the alarm right next to the battery so you can easily tell which wires are for the alarm, and the siren is it bolted right behind the intake manifold.
Is it worth my time to move the siren somewhere else and some how move the inline fuse holders else where and blend it in more with the cars regular wiring?
I was thinking about this and figured it was not worth it because the theif, once under the hood would just cut all power from the battery anyway.
Thanks for your time

TEKEN: You will need to clarify this for me... Was the reset (time out) really 15 minutes??? I ask because it is very important to know the specifics of this... I don't mean to come off like a smart aszz... But I will ask anyways... Was it actually 15 minutes or that's what it felt like to you??? Could the (time out period) have been more like 5 minutes, perhaps???
Now the alarm itself when it goes off is not changing tones it is steady in other words it does not sound at all like it is losing power or anything. As far as the different readings you asked for I will need some time to see if i can get them for you. As far as what the manual says to do it says to disarm the alarm when engaged you switch the valet switch then you turn the key 3 times i believe is what it said. Like I said before I tried everything and its not working... I will try to follow some of your other advice and get back to you with any other helpful info.. Thx again for helping...
