Default DIFFRENCE IN ENGINES 04 CIVIC SI OR 04 RSX TYPE S

I know the Civic has 160hp and 133ft lbs tq, and RSX has 210hp and 143ft lbs of tq. I also know that the civic has 9.8:1 cr and the RSX has 11.0:1 cr. What else is diffrent in the engines. Cams? I/E? I am looking at buying the Civic si and just wanted to know.

blocks are not the same -- oil orifices, passages for squirters. k20 heads are interchangable.

the 2004 typeS does not have 210hp. it has 200hp.

the 2005 typeS has 210hp. It has different cams and intake manifold and ECU and final drive and other stuff than the 2004 typeS.

the EP3 Civic SI shares almost same parts as the base RSX. the Si gets a better intake manifold though.

Both the EP3 and the base RSX have a K20A3 engine. It gets a system called iVTEC, but is more VTEC-E than iVTEC on a TypeS. below 2200rpm's, one of the intake valves does not open fully for fuel economy. above 2200rpm's, the engine operates as a true 16valve engine. there is no second cam profile like the tyepS or even the B series.

what does it take so swap a type s, or type r head on an si, is it hard like the ls/vtec or is it bolt on since its already vtec? also, is it worth it?

Why do people say the IM on the si is better. I know the base rsx has the same Im that the old gsr's have. With the rsx produces more torque im curious why people always say the si's setup is better. Or does it have to do with the longer gears in the rsx tranny?

the IM on the EP3 flows better than the one on the base RSX. The IM is on the k20a3 on the EP3 is basically the same one found on the 02-04 RSX-S. Higher RPMs better power.
