ALL MOTOR!!!! Not too expensive but you will go fast

Port and Polish your head (500)
Mild your head (100)
ITR Exaust cam (200)
CTR Intake cam (200)
CTR Oversized pistons w/rings (350)
Bore out block for pistons/ hotank (250)
ITR Intake manifold (300)
ITR JDM 4-1 header (400)

Thats about 2200 or so. give or take depends how hooked up u can get. But thats what i would do if i had 2 grand and in your situation with your motor. ull be hitting low - mid 13z on slicks all day. Peace Hope i was of help.

All motor sounds good to me too. a port and polish head with some good cams and a chip ECU would be dope.
Let me know if i can help you with getting any parts.

Try the B20B/Z or a GSR block. just the long block will cost you around 11 to 15 legit. If you want the torque go for the 2.0 but remember those don't spin any higher than 6.5 8 max with vtec in stock form. If you like the high revs, go with the gser. has extra torque and is capable of revving to 9 stock ( if oil pressure permits ) install is easy. rent a cherry picker for 25 bucks a day and replace the head gasket. done. 1 day if your good 3-4 for a beginner. let me know if you need help.

All those mods won't do **** on your car... You might get 40 HP form the P&P, cams, and stuff.

For $2000, here's what I'd do.

Keep the B16a.
Good 4-1 Header - $400
Good 2.25-2.5" Exhaust - $500
AEM Intake - $200
Holley or Overbored T/B - $150
ITR Intake Mani - $200 used
Fuel Pressure Reg. w/ Gauge - $100
NOS or Nitrous Express Wet Kit - $350 used
Dyno tuning for an Hour - $100

With a 75 shot a little on the rich side, meaning +1 or +2 on the Fuel Pill <Make about 60-65, SAFELY> , this setup should net 12's on street tires in a 2200 pound car with good stickey tires.

Enjoy.

actually sir kids idea sounds pretty good. you have a good idea with the na buildup (it's mill and milled by the way, and i wouldn't mill the head with ctr stuff like that..you're asking for disaster. valve/piston distance is close enough as it is.) but it will cost more then 2 grand to do all that. you're forgetting about new seals/gaskets/bearings/hardware, etc etc. i suppose you'd best start with the basics, good header (4-700), good intake system (250), good exhaust (custom mandrel bent piping with something like the es tuning muffler from jdmhondaparts.com is a great bargain and great system) (300). should pick up a fuel pressure regulator and guage (look for a complete unit, something comparable to the aem, over the b&m..i wasn't impressed with it's design) (200) as well as an a/f guage. if you want an accurate a/f guage, get the greddy unit, it uses it's own o2 sensor and is top notch. i'll be buying that over the auto meter guage. however, it is about 2 bills (200).

after that, it's a toss up of what direction you want to head. if you're down with some nos, you can get a good kit for rather cheap now-a-days, venom's kit looks tasty, with the pc tuning solution nonsense. or you can save a little more cash up and drop some cams/valvetrain. it's all going to depend on what you want to do with your ****. if you're gonna go turbo, skip the header, it'll be wasted dough.

Not too bright, eh? We'd see whose setup balled into the 12's and whose was lucky to run a high 13...
