Default Mini-me Problems... Expert Needed

Heres the story

95 Civic CX with d16a6 block and D16z6 head. I cant rev past 6k RPM. Vtec is NOT engaging, and I have no code.. none. Car is at operating temp and everything is hooked up and wired correctly. The oil jet in the block between cyl 2 and 3 has already been removed. Still, no Vtec and I cant rec past 6k RPM.

Im using p28 ECU. Anyone??

I have. Ive even re-ran it 2 times. Its not throwing any codes. Even when I rev over 5k which is when I would normally hear it and it does NOT engage and I get no check engine lights.

Sounds stupid, but have you opened up your ECU? Some douche sold me a P05 with a P28 sticker....and I had the same problem. Other than that I have no idea...good luck.

well maybe if u know anyone with one u could just try it, and see if maybe its just a bad ecu. maybe your vtec soleniod is bad, but that wouldnt explain the early fuel cut off.. i say just plug in a nother ecu and see what happens.

Would fuel delivery be a problem? Im using 3 CX injectors and 1 Si injector. Before I pulled the Oil valve the vtec solinoid was leakin a little bit of oil. Since ive removed the valve I havent noticed any leaking but could the little amount it leaked effect it?

No. My 97 DX came with 180cc injectors and the EX intake manifold I swapped to was using 240cc injectors.

sure timing is fine?

how do you know vtec isnt kickin it?

When it revs, does it sound normal? any stutter/ hesitation? hows the throttle response?

Run your stock ecu and see if it can rev past 6. Might be a messed up p28?

u should check ur ecu. u sure its a p28 ecu. it should be able to rev to 7200 even if ur vtec is not working or not hooked up.

the oil jet wouldnt have to do anything with reving pass 6k.
