valve spring removal
Does any of you guys know what valve spring remover to use on the pr3 heads? I tried 2 different types to no avail. Do i need to remove the rocker arms? I'll try and ask the guys at my local machine shop. If i find out how i'll post it on the board.
Go to http://www.toolwarehouse.net , they have a valvespring compressor similar to the Snap-On one. Yeah, you have to remove the rocker arms to get to the springs. Do a search on this topic, there have been a few in-depth threads about working on valvesprings. HTH.

Right now not too much going on. Track won't be open until January at the earliest. Sucks. Everyone's pretty much just street racing all over the island. BTW, the part # for the tool is SP 91400. I have one, and it works good.

I have done a number of valve spring swaps with cam swaps and learned that it is not necessary to remove the rocker arms. I always pulled the intake and exhaust side ones back and put a rubber band around all of them for each cylinder. The valve spring remover I had had enough clearance where they weren't in the way.
