ok i got a jdm b16a and a ys1 tranny with a aem short ram intake a dc sports header and a thermal r and d exhuast with no cat in a 92 teg rs and every time i race i etheir spin way to much or i dont do it enough ok i rev it up to 5k and i spin by the time i catch im in 4k out of vtecand i have to wait until 5k to get vtec back because im so slow with out it so they get me out the whole but if i rev to like 6k and drop clutch i spin so much i dont move its a loose looose situation so i was wondering what i should do about it maybe i should lower my vtec point or learn how to lanuch HELP plz fustred

 

1- dont just dump the clutch, feather it out the hole.
2- take the rpms to around 4500-5000 and feather the clutch controlling the power output to the wheels.

hmmm, try launching it at a lower rpm range...my friend with Type R motor in a 96 civic launches at 1500-2000, start out with low rpm and work your way up, to the correct rpm

 

if you can't figure out clutch control try 32-3400 instead, my friend had one of his legs broken and manipulating it can be difficult still but he likes to enjoy street legal night so we went out of town a bit with a gtec and tried a whole bunch of different rpms with a clutch drop and 3200 in his Si proved to be the best.

with a good launch you should be right into vtec at the light with just a slight amount of spin. We make no tourqe guys, if you cant launch this car Id hate to see you try and launch something with over 200+ ftlbs of tourqe.

I have driven a stick since I was 15, and it can still be tricky. It just takes practice. And for future reference, it makes it easier on everyone if you use periods and paragraphs.
