I'm sure there are a handful of drag cars on here pushing 700+.

I forgot his name, but it was in Jordo's thread that somebody mentioned Dart Tall Deck/95 MM crank motors were spooling up PT76-GTS turbos fairly quick. A PT76 is a 1000+ WHP turbo, so they gotta be making some serious juice on those puppies.

The titan motorsports civic made 733whp on boost alone using a GT40.

yeah all you need to know is it is way too big for a street car that is driven on a regular basis

I have a SP71 GTQ
71mm compressor wheel, .81 a/r exhaust q-trim 4" inlet, 3" outlet, 3" v-band downpipe
rated for 850+whp
have not got the car back together yet--it used to have just a basic turbo set-up
will have a fully-built everything and hopefully well over 700whp--maybe 800whp
I like highway races, though--need that power for big turbo supras, bikes, turbo vettes, turbo vipers, etc.
sort of daily driven--not very far--not many miles--no rain--lower boost

I was just curious how many people broke 700whp and what set-ups they have

It's interesting that you still don't see that 700whp is not needed to do what you're trying to do to keep up with these cars. Many of these cars EVEN on the highway don't need more than a tad over 400whp to do it. Supras and the like are heavy cars that require more to get the same results. Not to mention you'd have to have a very tall 4th and 5th to get the mile/hr you're needing to stay on the topp end with these cars. It's not the power, its the power and transmission gearing to get with those.

You won't need it. By the time you get that power to the ground, those guys will be long gone on the highway.

Do a bit more research before you make that purchase. I just know this from expperience

Ever seen a twin turbo viper? A guy in town here has a 2001 GTS, built motor I think it's a 520" stroker, and TWIN T72's. I saw the viper running on pump gas walk away from a modded busa from a roll, he put bus lengths on it while spinning at 120+. I don't think you're going to touch a monster like that on the highway with a FWD honda, you simply cannot get traction, and a 71MM turbo with a .81 housing is just too peaky.

Those all make over 700hp but like Shodan said, your dont need 700hp to pull a single turbo supra. 500whp in a 2200-2600 lbs car will put a hurting on a 3500 lbs car with 800hp. especially with a tall tire shifting at 9k.

I'm not saying I'll have the fastest car out there or anything, but I want to run with and beat some of the fastest and I want to have a shitload of power to do so.

Also, I will have long 4th and 5th gears, so top end isn't a problem.

Anyway thanks for the info.

You'll fair better at 500 than at 700. I guarantee it.. We've done it. it wass easier to hang w/ less power....than it was with More.

So I take it you will be driving around on C16 at all times? 99% of the cars that are making this kind of power take it to the track.

I'll run about 20 psi or so on pump gas, which should make a lot of power anyway, but to make the major power, I'll run C-16--just not for daily driving because that **** is expensive and no one is going to use 400whp for daily driving purposes, much less well over 700whp. I usually take it easy on the car just driving around during the day, but when I want to have a little fun, I get on it good.

i'm just wondering how fast/how much power you made on ur car before the build... and if u realize how fast even 500 whp is, let alone 700 if u can even hook...

What does the gt40/67 correspond to? Does that mean it has a 67mm inducer on the compressor? What part of the turbo is gt40?

i'm sure he knows.his best so far is 470 something and 300 something torque.he just wants to make a lot of power, let him figure out how to get it to the ground.

IIRC it's a GT40 exhaust wheel in a standard T4 flanged housing paired up with a PT67 compressor wheel/housing. Supposed to spool pretty fast for how much power it supports.

it is a gt40 turbine wheel paired with a t67 compressor wheel. great turbo, just not quite as amazing as the true gt40r
