Default A 00 B18c1 in a 97 hatch, what ECU?

What would be the best ecu to use? or what ecu can I use? Also, I'm located in California.

you can use the ECU that came with it..the p72 i believe

a 96-98 civic ex harness will be used, which p72 can i use? the obd2a or obd2b? or should i just get a obd2->obd1 jumper and get a chipped p28?

use your ex harness with a obd2a p72. a chipped p28 will be ok but why spend the loot on a jumper harness?

if i use the 96-98 ex harness with the obd2a p72 ecu, would i throw any codes? would the engine check light go on?

you hav eto use 96-98 ... anything higher has a immobilizer
