b16 dizzy HELP

Default b16 dizzy HELP

i got a extra b16 dizzy 0bd0. when i was spinning it i noticed that it did not spin that great. so i took it apart, looks like the rotor is melted and the coil is also. can i buy a new coil for cheap? or sould i just buy a new dizzy...

best thing to do in your case, is find find a working mpfi obd0 distirbutor and swap the internals into the b16a distributor housing.

coils are like $70usd from honda. I use a 91 integra coil from an acura dealership though

Edit-- ^^ what that guy said is a good idea too, any d16 obd 0 dist should get you a working coil and ignitor i would think. but those are used parts, and a bit of a gamble

My reply was assuming the mainshaft bearing is bad (which it may be if its hard to turn). Check the shaft for play, and decide from there if it needs to be replaced. If it IS just the coil and rotor, you can get a coil from a dx distributor for pretty cheap. The rotor should be replaced with a new piece.

Sorry, i just assumed the main shaft bearing was bad when i posted my first reply.
