Type One Products?
Unlike most of the ppl, I order my parts direct from my agent in Japan. And I just ask him question about "Type One" product. Here's his answer:
"And I 've never heard of "Type One" as brand name, The spoon said that is the pro-shop of carrying the Spoon mainly, and also carrying another brand such as Mugen parts"
From the pictures ppl posted, I think the "Type One" header looks ok to me. The thing is, if it is only an unknown "make-up" brand, it just not worth more $200. I understand why they choose the name of "Type One", but plz don't lie to your customer. We are not stupid. Thank you.

Maybe u don't now that TypeOne exhaust isn't a JDM brand at all. AJR in Vancouver, BC get someone to manufacture exhaust for them now and they named it TypeOne. Name is the same as but the logo looks totally different. And FYI I don't think TypeOne Japan doesn't have their own product.

As far as Type One They are made For A&J Racing By a company in Japan to AJR's specs.
Also Yes I am trying to make money This is my business, But Im not the type who gauges people with high prices or who carries or pushes the money maker item, I like Type One parts because they are very nice, Great quality and performance. If I wanted to make a quick buck I would push DC crap down peoples throats, Ever Notice I dont, probably because its crap, I could care less how much I make on it, Please Dont Assume.
Relax swift! Mike will be reopening on january 2. Its the holidays remember, time to take a break from work, be with the family all that jazz. Dont worry, he is not going to jack you on any deal. As far as him making money off the header, I doubt the pricing is set simply by him but by the manufacturer, and what little profit he gets, if any, he deserves. Other than that, private message him with this kind of business if you must, b/c you'll get everyone all riled up to back him up

AJR never said TypeOne products carried by them were products made by Type One of Japan. Infact, in a previous thread a few weeks ago, Ben and Alan clearly stated that the TypeOne Ti exhaust they were introducing was made for them by a company, and that the TypeOne name is in no way related to the Type One shop in Japan

As we have seen with the HyTech confrontation of SMSP, conspiracy theories are popular. The import version of the "grassy knoll" (a term from Kennedy assasination alluding to a conspriracy theory) can light up a brewing concern between "competitors" in the market, even when one never existed.
It 's difficult to ignore someone who is doing well and is your competitor. It's easier to lash out instead of doing your own thing and letting the quality of your own work speak for itself.
A lot of success is driven by word of mouth from content customers receiving a product that delivered and not by slick marketing of a name (Jun, Spoon, Fork or otherwise) or by smear campaigns against you competitor.
It's more difficult to take the high road but in the end, you don't have to look back at the written record and regret your behaviour which will seem , with the test of time, to appear like you had a lapse in judgement or level of maturity.
Type One, Type Two...call it whatever...it works and it's being sold at a pretty competitive price...why can't you leave it alone? If your product is good, the market will play itself out...if the Mugen header is becoming obsolete and you sell it then I suggest you clear your inventory and get a better header rather than trying to find some conspiracy as to the origin of the header.
I mean the Commodore 64 computer and space invaders used to be popular once and dominated the market but if the retailers that sold those staunchly defended it without realizing a better mouse trap had arrived, where would they be now?
cheers

I know a lot of Japanese product aren't made in Japan too. But since the company sell them mentioned that the TypeOne products are made in Japan, I would like to see some proof.
Whether it made in Japan or not, it still a very good header. But I think we would still like to know where exactly the header is coming from, right? (If not, there wouldn't be all those discussions on where exactly the Spoon wheel is from!!)
To me, a product for Honda that is made in Japan did make a little bit of a difference to me. If there are two header that perform and cost the same, but one is made in Japan, and the other one is made in let say Mexico. I don't know about you, but I would buy the one that made in Japan.

From what I've seen of the AJR TypeOne products the build-quality looks excellent and the designs look very JDM even if they're not built in Japan. Based on the header test, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a TypeOne header and that Ti exhaust looks awesome too.
FYI: typeONE headers are made by the same company that makes Jun headers as well as Feels headers, which is Maxim works. They are just made to AJR spec's. If you guys need more info concerning these headers contact info@aj-racing.com straight up to get the truth.

DC2-Rated - Why dont you just get over it it seems you have something against A&J and Any company that deals with them just like the Spoon Caliper Post that you started Assuming stuff in and again You were WRONG..........
What did I say wrong here?? All I was asking is some proof to us that the Type One products are actually made in Japan as stated!! I never assume anything here. All I was asking is some real proof!! Am I asking too much?
Hell, I even stated that TypeOne header is a good header in my post. If I really have something against it, would I even say that? I DON'T think so

Good info, but do you mind if I ask "How do you know?" (no offense intended...)
