electronic exhaust cutout???
i tried searching but its down right now.
is there such thing as a cutout that is electronic that can be opened from inside the car? im planning on running 2.5" piping connected to stock cx exhaust but with a cutout in between connected to a resonator so it dont sound like ****.
where can i find a cutout that can be opened/closed from inside the car?

thats the thing. my car looks like a pos with stock everything. i want an electronic one just in case some stunna revs at my pos so i can flip the switch and run him. it does happen sometimes just cuz its a hatch.
a cutout may hurt your performance. backpressure is necessary for proper scavenging.
too much volume = not enough flow. think if you have a straw 6 inches around, you couldnt create enough vacuum to move anything through it. likewise the exhaust needs that pressure to effiectvley move the burnt **** out of the cylinder.

if your motor is stock your not going to get a surge of horsepower from opening the cutout. The cutout will kill your low end power if you open it then. The cut out should be opened mid-high/high end of your rpm range bc thats really the only time you would benifit from it.And with a stock motor i could think of many things you could do to get some more hp other than an e-cutout.

people do it because they think it helps, it is a HUGE misconception by many many people. a free flowing exhaust will help, but some backpressure is indefinatley necessary for the engine to make peak power.
example: small block 350 in a t-bucket, open header. we gained about 8 WHP with a header EXTENSION making the exhaust longer.
unless you understand the intricate workings of how the exhaust works (wich it really is, its not just a pipe) its very hard to understand, just know there is more to the exhaust than the bigger the hole the better the engine breathes.
