Default looking to get a carbon fiber hood, any suggestions

my 95 civic fell victim to a suicidal deer. the only damage that was done was huge *** dent on the hood. so i finally decided my next step for my car, a carbon fiber hood. if any one can help it would be greatly appreciated. and i already checked the classifieds, no one has what i need.

there are endless companies that make CF hoods for EG's. The More popular ones on the site are... JDMshit.....BKNW(body kits north west), VIS, Fiber Images, Seibon... and the list goes on.

my Fiberimages hood sucks.... Clear coat is worn off. Faded in the middle of the hood. The sides stick up over the fenders. I will never buy a FI hood again. this hood is less than a year old

weird, no problems with mine yet. have you contacted them? they have a 1 year warranty. and i believe they are gel coated, not clear coated. a guy i know with a CTR has a genuine spoon carbon fiber hood on it, and his is faded/discolored too. Spoons supposed to be some of the best but who knows. If you get it clear coated, you should have no worries. There is also a thread where some guy used some 3M products and made his faded/pos looking hood look brand new.

as for as the fitment, mine is perfect

people vary on what their opinion of "perfect fitment" is also.

If I were buying I'd go off pics rather than peoples spoken word.

Definetely don't ignore multiple bad reviews of a product though.

ya i agree, but mine does fit great.

almost equal on both side, only reason it's not is cause i think my car was in an accident, the stock hood had the same differences in gap on either side.

weave is nice, no discoloration at all ... LIGHT as hell compared to VIS and others ... you can see thru the weave when the hood is popped ... no skeleton ... i dunno, i like it better compared to the VIS i have seen.

ive heard nothing but good stuff about fiber images. $350 is about the most you should spend.

yeah i dont get why they throw a superheavy skeleton on CF hoods,
seems like it defeats the whole purpose of the lightweight CF,
maybe it's a safety thing, like in a headon collision?

my recommendation would be to not get one at all. its the biggest mistake ive ever made. i wrecked my oem hood too. should have got another oem one. right now im trying to get a fiberglass hood skin made, but that could be the second biggest mistake that i'll ever make.

instead of buying a 500 dollar hood just cup a big 3 by 3 foot hole off your hood much better.
