Default GSR block W/ LS head any one?

has any one seen this conversion? i have, my boss just finish the car and started it....Runs SMOOTH....sounds Stock...vid soon....Dont know why he decide to do this...but Hopefuly the FIRST IN USA....

its a Stock B18c bottom 10.4 comp.....head a 98 LS Fully Built PNP. w/ Ferrea over side valves. Maney Springs... Custom Head gasket by Cosmic Headgasket...Running off a SAFC2(soon AEM) DSM 450's...
G-N equal Turbo Man..t3/t4 60 trim....

just started it today...Numbers will be updated with in 1 month...need to find if there a CEl...then Dyno time.....

12 month as in december? or 1 year? Looking forward to it, but what i don't understand is, why not gs-r head over ls head?

sounds strange when i saw it as well... it was really weird...he loves the NON-Vtec heads..but loves the B18c1 block Since so called their stronger....the car is so smooth that it sounds like a brand New BMW/Lexus...

doubt its the first, seen a few kids here put non vtec heads on gsr blocks, cuz they had parts laying around....

Does it lower the compression or something? I dont quit get it but would love to see how much it puts down. The GSR cams are very good for boost. Thats pretty odd. But to originality

Also where do you work at that your boss does swaps like that? Custom shop

Seems like a step backwards but whatever. LS rocker arms definitely seem like the weakest link. That and the cam caps.

i thought he said that the head was fullly built and if it is im sure the head is probably flowing very well. his boss is probably one of those american car driving guys who doesnt like vtec.

i agree shinny . non v-tec turbo
we've work on swap like this before installed some skunk 2 cams in it. Ran just fine. I guess to each his own. for Style points. Has to be a show car to crome tranny.

yo man he forgot the boot on the clutch fork thing. better put it back on dont want anything to get in there and mess up the clutch now lol
