Vtec not working...Need help
ive got a 94 accord ex with about 52,000 miles and when ever i try to rev more than 4,500 RPM's the engine just stays in 4,500 RPM's and wont go pass that, even when im driving i noticed that the car picks up pretty OK but then the needle just stays in 4500 rpm's and stays there for like 3 seconds then the next gear kicks in and no sound of vtec kicking in. I really need help fast. What can the problem be, my guess are the oil pump or the vtec solenoid but i have no clue. So please help out a member here. Thanks in advanced.
if my vtec didnt kick in.... i would never get past 2,400 rpm....lol
I think my ECU is chiped and i just dont know it..
im thinking a wire got lose, but if that was the matter the CEL would had came on tho...
only thing i can tell you cheak if you got a signal to the vtec solenoid, if so its the solenoid.
try the vtec light
